OTS for the 2025 Tax-Year:
Each package contains US 1040 Fed taxes, Scheds 1-3, A-D, and forms 6251, 8949, & 8889 updated for the 2025 tax-year.
It also includes updated State-Tax versions for OH, NC, NJ, NY, VA, PA, MA, AZ, CA, MI, OR, and several additional Forms.
Each package includes pre-compiled executables for the given platform, as well as
source-code and build-scripts in case re-compiling is ever needed.
For Linux -February 12, 2026
OpenTaxSolver2025_23.03_linux64.tgz (18.1-MB) [sha1sum=1b582b978546ced072876c5a113d1a1bba7abbc4]
- Package is a gzip'd tar-file. To unpack,
tar xfz OpenTaxSolver2025_23.03_linux64.tgz
- Unpacks into a directory of similar name.
- Start by double-clicking or running: ./Run_taxsolve_GUI .

- Double-click on package to unpack. Navigate to top directory inside.
- First time after unpacking, you need to set the files as trusted
by holding your Control-key down while double-clicking on the
file : MacSetup.command

SALT limit amount. Added informational messages to Fed-1040 results.
Fed-1040 Schedule 1-A now properly prevents deductions for Married-Filing-Separate.

main 1040 program. This adds several lines to the Fed-1040 input file.

Code consolidation of re-used routines.

extra space in front of the new "Rollover" lines. Fixed AZ spouse name in PDF.
