OpenTaxSolver is available as source-code for compilation on all platforms.
Instructions (0_README.txt) and examples are included in all versions.

OpenTaxSolver2006_4.07.tar.gz
- March 14, 2007 - Contains US 1040 Fed taxes, Scheds A, B, C, and D. Contains State-Tax versions for
CA, NC, MA, NJ, PA, VA, OH, and NY. All updated for 2006 tax-year.
Contains source-code with build scripts, and compiled binary executables for Linux PCs. Re-compile if needed.
Otherwise invoke Run_taxsolve_GUI_Unix.sh to start in graphical mode.
Unpacking -
Package is a gzip'd tar file. To unpack, tar xvfz OpenTaxSolver2006_4.04.tar.gz . (Older systems may need two steps:
gunzip ... and tar xvf ... ).
Will unpack into a directory of the same name. (To see contents prior to unpacking, tar tvfz OpenTaxSolver2006_4.04.tgz .)
Please see the 0_Readme.txt file in top directory for instructions about running or re-building.
(Simple compiling instructions are also included in header comments of all programs.)

Double-click Run_taxsolve_GUI_mswin.bat to start in graphical mode.

All updated for 2006. Unpack and start by running Run_taxsolve_GUI_mswin.bat .
